Craig Groshek, a University of Wisconsin graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, is an entrepreneur business owner, and the CEO and director of Chilling Entertainment, LLC, the multimedia company responsible for the websiteΒ Chilling Tales for Dark NightsΒ and the popular YouTube channel of the same name, as well asΒ The Simply Scary Podcasts Network, with its several weekly audio horror entertainment series. He is also the creator and editor-in-chief of CreepypastaStories.com, the horror fiction website he developed in April of 2020.
As the administrator of Chilling Entertainment, Groshek has acted as director, executive producer, audio engineer, sound designer, website administrator, scriptwriter, editor, publisher, voice over actor and author, with credits in hundreds of productions.
During his time as the head of Chilling Entertainment, Groshek oversaw (and was pivotal in the creation of) multiple iTunes 5-star rated podcast programs, includingΒ The Simply Scary Podcast,Β Horror Hill,Β Scary Stories Told in the Dark, and the formerΒ Chilling Tales: The Podcast, as well as cultivated the primaryΒ Chilling Tales for Dark Nights YouTube channel, which to date counts 25+ million views, nearly a quarter of a million subscribers, and more than 1,000 audio releases since 2012. He also manages theΒ Otis Jiry Channel, with 30,000+ subscribers and 500+ releases of its own. As the leader of the company, Groshek pioneered innovative programs such as monthly writing contests, a celebrity guest narration program, theΒ Evil IdolΒ voice acting competitions, the fan-interactive seriesΒ Waking Nightmare, andΒ Frightening Films Fridays, a weekly short horror film presentation.
In 2016, Groshek expanded into publishing with the release of Chilling Entertainment’s first collection of short horror stories – author William Dalphin’s “Don’t Look Away” – and has plans to release more books in the future.
When Groshek is not acting in his capacity as the chief executive of his company, he enjoys reading, cooking, outdoor recreation, and spending time with his wife and three boys, and his far too many cats and dogs.
